The shipbuilding yard of the Frigate Jylland

The shipbuilding yard offers to build new ships as well as restoration and maintenance of wooden ships.

In the shipbuilding yard there is a slipway with a capacity of 200 tons, workshop, forge, sawmill and rigger workshop/ropewalk.

Furthermore the project department specializing in restoring and maintenance of old wooden ships. The project department elaborates restoring/maintenance recommondations and offers fixed prices or an estimated preliminary for the work. 

The work is done by skilled craftsmen, ship carpenters, blacksmiths, painters and riggers with great experience. The shipyard is contributing in maintaining the traditional ship craftsmenship by educating new ship carpenters.

The repair work can also be done together with the owner of the ship. 

During the work process it is possible for the ship owner working together with the craftmen to stay at the ship-yards hotel-ship, FYRSKIB XX1.

The Frigate harbour offers the possibility for shorter or longer stays for both small and bigger ships.
